Signature Course Procedures, Manager Expectations and User Expectations
Procedures
- The Program Directors will email a list of course managers and signature course users to the eCampus Director.
- The eCampus Director will email a copy of the Signature Course Manager's expectations, along with an attached agreement, to each Signature Course Manager prior to the fall semester.
- The Signature Course Managers will sign and send the agreements back to the eCampus Director.
- The eCampus Director will collect the agreements and obtain Program Director's signatures on the agreement.
- The eCampus Director will email signature course users, notifying them of the expectation of using the signature course and the names of their respective Signature Course Managers.
- The Signature Course Managers will email introductions of themselves to the adjuncts and other instructors using their signature courses.
- The eCampus Director will send out a survey in November concerning the Signature Course and manager to solicit feedback from the Signature Course users.
- The eCampus Director will send out the agreements again in the middle of the summer term for the managers to sign and return to the eCampus office as documentation for completed duties.
- The eCampus Director will enter the data into PeopleSoft to pay the Signature Course Managers 1 ECH each for the entire year of services.
Signature Course Manager Expectations
- Prepare the signature course with current dates on assignments, tests, calendar items, etc. at least four weeks before the beginning of each semester (fall, spring, & summer) and before the course is provided to others.
- Update the course as necessary throughout the year with regard to typographical and content-oriented errors (i.e., invalid test questions, misspellings, etc.).
- Create and maintain an information page or manual for instructors teaching the course providing inside information particular to teaching the course.
(This is the "Instructor's Guide" found in the signature course.)
- Determine who is teaching the signature course via PeopleSoft prior to the start of each semester.
- Communicate during the semester with other instructors who are teaching the course (i.e., answering questions, noting suggestions, etc.).
- Provide open collaboration between the instructor users and student users through surveys, evaluations and feedback to continually improve the course.
Signature Course User Expectations
- Learn how to use ANGEL from designated trainings with Instructional Technologists without relying on the Signature Course Manager for ANGEL help.
- Personalize the signature course by adding personal details such as contact information.
- Read the "Instructor's Guide" located in the signature course.
- Understand the course and how it operates. If questions arise, pose them to the Signature Course Manager.
- Collaborate with the Signature Course Manager on how to improve the course when and where warranted.
- Submit surveys about signature course and Signature Course Manager.
